Alexander Scourby was born in Brooklyn, New York. He studied journalism briefly before taking up acting. He is best remembered for being the first to narrate the King James Bible for the blind; it was completed in 1944. Scourby recorded over 500 different books during his lifetime; he considered the KJV Bible to be his most important work.

Charles Taylor was born on a farm in Iowa in 1937 where he was raised by God fearing parents and has lived in the Mid-West most of his life. He and his family worked in Korea for the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee, while there he also narrated a daily English-language devotional on a TEAM Mission radio station. Mr. Taylor has done radio and television commercials and a book on tape ?A Shepherd Looks at the 23rd Psalms?. In the 1980s he recorded the NIV translation of the Bible for Zondervan Publishing. He presently narrates a monthly news magazine for the sight-impaired.
